module 4

I enjoyed our guest speaker. He was very informative and had a lot of good ideas. Having done the reading, what he said made sense and was backed by the research. People are less likely to trust a for-profit organization alone and are more likely to trust a non-profit because we perceive them as more trusting. However, when a for-profit and non-profit partner, these seemed to have the largest effects on people. This was interesting, and after thinking about it, I seemed to notice a lot of this occuring. Examples include:General Mills (Cheerios) and American Heart Assoctiation and Kelloggs and American Cancer Society.

All the presentations last week were good! I think these have been very infomative and I feel these skills that we learn will be invaluable to us in the future.

Although we seemed to misunderstand the instructions for assignment one, I think we can easily remedy this situation. As for assignment two, I think we agreed on holding our focus group this thursday (correct me if I'm wrong) and so we still have to finish coming up with our messages, and moderator guide. So maybe we should start a google doc so everyone can be on the same page since I know some of us will be unable to attend.
