I totally agree that the refresher for all the theories was a great review to start the semester. Going through each theory during lecture helped me remember the basics of each one, and the lecture notes and the Theory at a Glance reading will be great to refer back to throughout the semester.
I also enjoyed the "Code Your Communication" Assignment. It really encouraged me to pay more attention to the types of messages and "health communication" that go on around me everyday. I hope that I can learn to critically analyze the meanings and sometimes hidden agendas that are within health related communications.
I think it is important as future public health professionals to learn how to effectively communicate to the public in order to promote better health. I know that I will definitely have a lot to take from this class.
