This weeks information was about Audience Segmentation. I felt that this topic was of value because the articles discussed the importance of not solely segmenting by demographics (age, gender etc) as we so often like to do. The articles went over the necessity of segmenting on other features as well in order to create very homogeneous groups to create messages for. I think that makes sense and I like it because just because 2 people are the same age gender and ethnicity does not mean the same message will work for both of them. My only question is how can this be implicated in the future? I look at things from an intervention standpoint and most intervention outcomes don't last much past the intervention so how could we use this segmentation to help people maintain behaviors beyond an intervention and would that even be feasible?
As for class this week: it was good. My presentation was this week and I felt I did well. The topic was interesting and helped my understanding of audience segmentation.
Group: we are on the right track...Lanny and Jessica way to be on top of the questionnaire in class today that was awesome! I think now that we know what we've got going (way to catch that Chris) we are on top of things. GO TEAM PA! WOOT :)
And just for fun...i included my fav audience of the year above :)
